Additive masterbatch

QolorTech offers a wide range of additive masterbatches that serve to improve or change certain properties of plastic products. We love to advise our clients on how to make optimal use of our additive masterbatches to achieve the desired properties. We offer standard additive masterbatches, but also often develop tailor-made additive masterbatches for our clients.

Types of additive masterbatches
Our additive masterbatches can be divided into the follow six categories:

  • Anti-oxidants, e.g. for process stabilisation, thermic stabilisation, and metal deactivation;
  • UV stabilisation;
  • Anti-static additives;
  • Anti-fog;
  • Moisture absorbers;
  • Foaming agents.

Foaming agents
Foaming agents are added during the processing of plastics. The addition of foaming agents can have a lot of benefits, such as:

  • Weight reduction
  • Saves raw materials
  • Improved flow properties
  • Prevents shrinkage
  • Saves energy
  • Reduces cycle times
  • Stability of shape

At QolorTech, we offer a wide range of foaming agents, including both exothermic (ACDA) and endothermic (Bicar/MSC) ones as well as combinations of these. We are always able to offer custom solutions, for example to achieve specific decomposition temperatures or by supplying specific carried, grain size, and concentration. Applications
Our QolorTech additive masterbatches are suitable for various processing operations, such as injection moulding, compounding, extrusion, and rotation moulding. Our additive masterbatches are available with a variety of carriers, meaning that they can be used for a wide range of polymers. We are also able to combine several applications in so-called smartbatches. This allows you to improve several product properties by using a single masterbatch. On top of that, QolorTech has a lot of experience creating masterbatches for the recycling industry. We have designed various products to help improve the quality of recycled plastics.
